Root When can we expect a developer created ICS?

Forget Moto. Cannot depend on them to get timely updates out. So when will we have a FULLY working ICS from the Dev community?? I'm pretty sure it'll be MUCH MUCH sooner than those jagbots at Moto will get out.

Should anyone get a stock ICS rom up and running for the razr atleast 2-3 weeks before moto me and a few of my friends will gladly each of us buy you 3 drinks Aka Donate $10 each. With 4 of us in total, you get where this is going devs.

Requests: Allready rooted rom. (probably a given but had a few that werent on some other phones)

All radios, camera, and pretty much 99% of the phones main features need to work, Webtop can be a debatable topic, (extra system zip file for the ppl that want it?) Important Verizon apps such as the WiFi hotspot, backup, SMART ACTIONS, All standard google apps(gmail, market, maps, navigation) should also be installed. Leave off flash, swype and other controversial apps that are free and might not want to be installed (flash) or different versions(swype)

And a personal request, airpush permanent opt out preinstalled as a system app.

Heck, might as well offer a bloatware package too for those who like the junk.

I personally like Motocast. Would be nice to be able to include certain things, for those who like them. Heck I'd donate as well. We gotta get more action on this phone for sure.

Hmm.... if I were a Dev I'd have to negotiate a higher rate if each of you were to buy me three drinks, that doesn't cover two of what I drink. :)

Check the ROM sticky, there is a CM9 ROM being worked. I don't believe it's yet ready to be a daily driver, but it'd be worth keeping an eye on.

Anyone tried this.
Tempting enough to ROM this at work...

Anyone see downside??

I've been running previous versions (ie AB2, 3 and 4) and have between happy. I haven't had the time to flash this latest build yet though.

No FFC or video IIRC but the back camera works. 4g, 3g and wifi have been working fine. People have reported muted audio when BT is connected but not paired. Also, it looks like you can't mute calls (if that matters to you).

It's been reliable enough to be my daily driver for the past week or 2. Of course, YMMV. :)

The Axiom Rom does run.. if you are prepared for a string of possible bugs. There are two other forums with very lengthy thread on them.. and those threads are enough to scare me away. The rom has no FFC, no video, has trouble with 4G, NO flash, google chrome , or decent gaming without video acceleration. Also, Moto's software(Motocast,Webtop, etc.) does not run on it. Not to mention a whole string of complaints I haven't mentioned.

It is an impressive rom, I tried it just to see what ICS is like, and hated to go back but i had to. i'd say it is for crackflashers only that do not care to have a fully functional phone.

Don't get me wrong, the Devs working on it have done an impressive job, I just don't see it as a viable daily runner until a real Moto Razr ICS leak makes it our way.. and if they De-Blur and make it AOSP-style there goes the Moto Software again...

I used it, and worked for about 3 or so hours. Nothing out of the ordinary, I rebooted to reboot and it froze at M...

Axiom has been improved quite a bit in the let few days. It's still not perfect, but I'm using it as my daily driver.

1) Have to toggle 4g to get it to connect to data.
Some folks say they only have to toggle 4g when they first flash the ROM, some folks say they have to do it after every reboot. On my phone I have to do it after every reboot, but since I goes days between reboots, that's not really a problem for me. The few seconds it takes isn't a big deal. Once connected it works just like it should.

2) Bluetooth doesn't work properly.
Some folks say it locks their phone. Some folks say it doesn't do anything. Some folks say it works great when connected to a BT device, but mutes their phone when turned on but not connected. I haven't tried it yet to see how my phone reacts. This is actually the biggest problem for me, I use BT quite a bit in my car. If I go back to the stock ROM, this will be why.

3) The front camera doesn't work.
Not a big deal for me, I never use it.

4) The rear camera only goes to 5mp with the stock camera app.
I installed ICS Camera from the market, it uses the full 8mp.

Hmmph - the data issue bothers me, the rest I can deal with.
I am loaded with backups and sbf file, so maybe I will try this. Pretty happy with eclipse for the day so far though.

Anyone have any reviews of Gummy? I'm running AXI0M vB27 right now and its remarkable. No data issues. Still no ffc or video but I can deal with that. If Gummy has ffc or video working though, I'll just go that route.

From reading the Gummy thread it seems it has the same basic issues as Axiom.
However according to the change log, the AOKP folks have corrected the FFC problem, so I'd expect all of the ROMs based off that to update in the next few days and have a working front camera.

Edit: Looks like Gummy has just updated to the new version with the working front camera (and other mods).
DT has said that he will have his Axiom update out later today.
