When is a nightly worth flashing

To my non-programmer eyes the changelog for CM10 might as well be written in
Klingon. (" core/Makefile: avoid exceeding MAX_ARG_STRLEN" )

So my question: How does one know when it is worth the (albeit small amount) of time to download and flash a nightly.

Sometimes it is something to do while on a long and boring conference call. But that doesn't sound like a good enough reason.

When is?

I just follow the xda threads and see if people stop bitching as much. So far CM10 has not been a daily driver for me and my S3. CM does those stable milestone releases now ("M1"...), maybe that's the way to go.

As a programmer "core/Makefile: avoid exceeding MAX_ARG_STRLEN" makes some sense to me, but not much. It's a pretty crappy description of a change. I suspect this has more to do with (trying to choose non-programmer terms) internal coding minutia and nothing to directly do with actual bug fixes or features. The change was probably minor and self-explanatory if you look at the diffs.

Why I'm saying this it that most likely those real cryptic things probably can be ignored. But if you're not a programmer I guess it's hard to know the difference.

CM10 nightlies have been my daily driver and so far are amazing. I usually flash a nightly every 2-3 days. Typically nothing an end user will really notice.
