When will Cell Phone Tech stop Evolving

So i've been thinking lately. We have phones now coming out with dual core and rumored quad core on the way. When will it stop? Don't get me wrong i'm glad the Tech continues to improve but honestly how much more do we need our phones to do? I just don't see that much more personally that i need mine to do. Yeah a little faster/snappier, a few more features and much better battery life would be great. However i'm sure within a year all of that will be here.

Anyways just thought i would get some opinions.

Tech eveloving will never stop.. Now basicaly our androids is like small latptops in our hands.. And it will always get better and better.. It will be fun in 20 years to see what happend with the world.

yeah but seriously what would you like your phone to do now that it doesn't? Realistically speaking that is. I bet anything you name is probably going to be available within a year...and then what?

I would like it to pull data instantly, be able to store a near-infinite amount of data, and have the battery capacity to only require an occasional charge. I would like it to take professional grade photographs and video. I would like my phone to be able to respond to my thought so even touch screens are even obsolete. My current phone can display 3D images, that isn't good enough. I want full color holographic imagry. And I would like it to have a built in light sabre. Until all that is done, I'm not satisfied with cellphone tech :P

Honestly, I am happy enough with my current dual core cellphone. And I get your point. The advances in technology that I would like from a cellphone would only increase it's usefulness a marginal amount (like the data speeds and a battery that can last a week). But who knows what next month will bring, or next year, in mobile computing. I would have never thought anyone would make it so a phone could display 3D images and video, yet here it is. Technology has never stagnated for long in human history, and computer technology doesn't look like it'll stagnate anytime soon.
