When will Droid get 2.1?

I'm sure there are like a hundred topics on this already, but I can't find a good answer anywhere, I heard that there was an update Jan. 22nd but that makes no sense, because I'm not running 2.1 still.

I stopped being eager about 2.1 once I rooted and got all the goodies in custom roms and the ability to OC.

the nexus one just got an official update today, including a newer version of google maps that has night mode, and enables multi-touch on the phone.

Like I mentioned in a previous 2.1 update thread (one of many) that when there is a concrete date set with proof of such, then a post will be officially made. Until then, threads such as this one will just clog up the forums.
