Why don't you ask T-Mobile?
They won't know either.
He would have to talk to engineering or a suit high up and that's not happening.
A place like this is the best because some engineer might chime in unofficially.
That said.... they are supposedly going to upgrade their whole network footprint.
The areas that will see the refarm first will be metro...
I know people that still work in wireless as subcontractors and they are being very quiet about it.
I have a feeling that T-Mobile is going to pull a rabbit out of it's hat because right now they are the only ones that are not saying they have LTE.
AT&T, Sprint and Verizon are all talking LTE and T-Mobile isn't.
When I asked a question such as "how many LTE BTS has T-mobile deployed?" I get met with silence or subject changes.
That tells me one thing.... they have more LTE deployed than they are talking about.
Why do I say that you ask?
Because we already know they are testing LTE - that much they have said publicly.
My prediction?
They light up the refarm AND LTE at the same time - and not in a small area.
The people I know are not talking... there is a gag on them and it's a pretty significant one.
This fall is going to be a very interesting time.... I would bet $100 on that.
