Help When will there be the Galaxy S 2.2.1 update incoming?

Hi all,

When will the official 2.2.1 update be up?
I checked Kies and it says i have the 2.2 froyo. Doesn;t say anything about 2.2.1

I got a brandnew Samsung with 2.2 froyo in it. But dontthink it's 2.2.1

My old HTC desire..already had this update and that was a branded Desire.

depends on your version , as far as I know there is already a 2.2.1 out there

I wonder when Australia is going to get it. I really want the 2.2.1 update because I almost regret going to 2.2 (Much faster on 2.1) but we only got the 2.2 update just over a month ago.

Hopefully we can get it soon.

Hi, could you let me know what your quadrant scores are? I don't care very much for them, but the phandroid article says that there are reports that 2.2.1 is significantly faster than 2.2. I am just wondering if the i/o portion of quadrant will be a lot faster and that samsung has implemented their own "lag fix".

The IO part was alot faster now with 2.2.1, before the update i was getting around 900, im now getting about 1300 average so it's made a difference. although with 2.2 and oclf i was getting almost 2000.

I flashed mine to 2.2.1 and I must say this is how the phone should have been from the start. It's just so much quicker and responsive.

wow 1300 stock froyo with no lag fix? I'm only getting 1500 on cognition 3.02 which has the voodoo lagfix. That's pretty much evidence that samsung implemented a lag fix.
