Where it's Dngrs hanging out right now?

You're not in Australia, are you? I remember there used to be a guide on AF from there. I wonder how he's doing?

NVM: You're in Pismo Beach, CA. That's where that tattoo parlor is.

While I have been to Australia a few times, I am not there at the moment.

Yes, I am in Pismo, watching Dngrswife get her first tattoo.

This reminds me of a coworker who came back to work the day after getting a new tattoo. Oh was he excited. He turned around and lifted up his shirt. He had the artist tattoo "Cowboy" across his upper back.

The only problem? The artist spelled it Cowbow instead of Cowboy. Poor guy had no idea until he showed us and we told him. He had to go back and have it touched up. Looked like crap afterwards.

It's Sanskrit for "this hand belongs to Dngrswife".

I always find foreign language tats interesting. Thing is can you confirm exactly what it says, or are just relying on the tat artist being correct. But then who do you know who can read Sanskrit? ...I don't.

I've seen westerners with Chinese tats, and what they have written is not what they think it is. Sometimes they're just pulling designs from a catalogue or the internet, and have no idea what they're actually writing on people's bodies.

I agree, Mike. In this case, I picked the font and the specific lettering, and the artist did a pretty good job of rendering the image.

BTW, I was trolling Dan; it's not really Sanskrit. :p

This was taken yesterday. The road I came in on has been closed due to high winds and falling trees... hopefully We'll be able to leave in a couple days.

This one should be fairly easy: where the heck am I?

Oh that's easy ... see the moon in the upper right? It's waxing gibbous. You can also see the shadow of the mountain face to determine the position of the sun. Draw an imaginary line from the base of the tree from the moon and the sun, then measure the angle. Adjust for 10 days past the solstice and you get ....

Yosemite?
