Root Where are all the devs at?

tdm,

If you need some logcats from a rooted stock ICS, I started a thread about standalone GPS causing reboots and took a couple logcats off mine on posts #15 and #16 in this thread:

http://androidforums.com/lg-spectrum/645335-gps-causes-spectrum-reboot.html

Your CM10 build is the only one so far that I've flashed that does not cause reboots for me when trying apps like google maps, GPS Status, etc ... I assume it was the Verizon or LG stock functions/apps causing my reboots. I am using the phone without a Verizon plan or SIM card in the phone so, no assisted GPS. I am able to use google maps (no reboots) when I uncheck standalone GPS (in settings) and use google location services with Wifi hotspots, but that basically is useless for navigation.

Hey @spectrumhackers ... anyone get gps to work yet?

I tossed in gps.default.so, libloc*, libgps* from stock and there's a ton of chatter from gpsone_daemon but it doesn't work.

This is the first error that I notice:

gpsone_net_init:354] failed

This one shows repeatedly, possibly the result of the above:

gpsone_daemon_manager_connect_handler:657] udp connect, udp not implemented
Is this on a CM9 or CM10 build? I'll have free time this weekend to do some digging as long as I know which OS i'm looking thru.

That was aokp40 I think. Should be the same as cm9 but I can verify tomorrow.

Warming up the build box, CM 10.1 branch created.

AOKP seems to be on branch jb-mr1. Don't know if that's their final branch name or not, they tend to be less public about their development (or maybe I just don't know the right places to look).

MR1 was the staging branch being created for 10.1 in Cyanogen so I would no be surprised if the same is true for AKOP. In the last few days most of the CM10.1 stuff has been moved over to actual 10.1 branches, so if AKOP does the same, then you will have your answer.

The cutting edge is making me bleed, so I think it's going to be a few days before I can get this going. They redid the qcom hardware stuff again and it'll take a while to sort it out.

Thanks for your dedication. I, personally, really appreciate it.

Huzzah! Got phone and 4G working on CM10. :D

Problem was my own making, I rearranged the init rc-files and qmuxd wasn't starting because init.qcom.sh wasn't being called. Doh!

I have a bunch of telephony changes in my tree that I did this morning to match the CM9 RIL. I'll back that up and retry with the CM10 RIL, hopefully that will also work.

I'm guessing Monday or Tuesday we should have CM10 and AOKP41 ROMs.

CM10?! good lord, you devs are outdoing yourselves.

I've been on the CM9 rom for a week or two now, some things I've noticed are rare (but there) random restarts, and also CM9 not playing well with Extended Controls app, constant fc for me. Just a heads up :) Having said that, you guys are doing an awesome job, keep up the hustle!

Thanks. :) This is still just catch up though. Outdoing will be when we get GPS and Bluetooth calling fixed in a CM10.1 ROM. :)

Im going to start cooking some roms up on the om+ if they will work im going to need some testers. and does anyone know where i can get a naked rom?

I highly doubt it. LG likes to change the formatting from phone to phone. If you tried to flash one of our roms, you would most likely brick your device.

Is this still your CM10.1 build effort or are you thinking you'll put up a CM10(.0) ROM?

Is there any possibility we could get Apollo apk for the aokp rom? I really like it from cn9 bit its not in the app store so I can't get it for aokp40
