where are downloaded attachments saved?

My wife sent me a bunch of pictures via picture message and I opened them and hit save and a message said it was saved.... But where ?

Open gallery and should be in there. Then you can click on the photos for details.

Mine saves to the sd card but I can't remember if it came that way or I changed it in the settings.
