Help Where are my Google play apk. Files?

Julia1996

Hi,
I'm looking for old apps that I downloaded from Google play.
I know I can find them in Google play but I want the apk. Files so I can reinstall them whenever I want without downloading every time.

I'm using Samsung galaxy s5.

Thanks.

I believe I understand your question to be if all the apps you have previously used are on your S5.

If the apps are not installed, the apks are not on your device. You can go to the Google Play Store app on your device, select My Apps and slide over to ALL (instead of INSTALLED). This will list every app you have ever bought or downloaded, and you can install them again. Logging into your Google account does not place the apks of everything on the device.

I guess I'll have to risk and get the apk files on my phone.

Thanks for the answer.

Well, you can back them up using Helium. It has an option to backup the apk as well so you can restore without redownloading the app. You'll need Helium for the reinstall though.

ES File explorer and X-Plore have app backup menu, as do many android utility programs such as android assistant.

I use System App Remover (ROOT). It let's you backup all apps in the data partition. If your rooted you can also uninstall the bloatware from the system partition.
