Help Where are my pictures?!?!

Hey guys......totally new at this whole forum thing. But I'm counting on you guys! I have had the Acclaim since December (and have hated it since December). So, FINALLY got the new update today after having nothing but trouble with the phone for the past month. Well, I just took a picture of my kitty (who can resist that precious little face?!) and it shows up in the bottom right hand corner like before. But......when I go to my gallery, it's nowhere to be found. What the crap? So where are my pictures saving to? On the camera screen there is an icon to touch that says "store location" and I tried taking a picture with it highlighted for On and Off. And they're nowhere to be found. ALSO.....one other question. When I get a text message it vibrates plus makes the notification sound. How can I shut the vibrating off? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me. If you have an sdcard installed, plug the phone in to computer using the usb and mount the drive. Go to the DCIM folder on the sd card, the pics should be there. Otherwise they *should* be in the gallery. Go to your app drawer and go to the gallery
 
Thank you for answering CWill, I appreciate that. However, it didn't work! I put it on never vibrate, and while it didn't vibrate when just sitting there, I was on a phone call, got a text, and it vibrated twice, beeped VERY loudly, and played my assigned notification sound, in my ear. ARG! And as for my pictures.....this is a little weird. I had cleared all my pictures off my phone last night and put on my computer. I got the update today. So there were NO pictures in my gallery. Well, the pictures I am taking tonight are showing up in my gallery now, except the thumbnail is for the pictures that I took off the phone last night. For example, I took another picture of my kitty, and the thumbnail that came up was my husband and his Mom at her wedding. When I touch the thumbnail, the picture of my kitty comes up. Weird, but something I can deal with. I HATE this vibrating beeping in my ear though!
 
Wow, that is weird, try a factory reset? That would be my guess, unfortunately. Just back everything up first. i dont have any of those issues but I did a reset before and after I upgraded. OCD like that.
