Where are the cases?

Speaking of screen protectors...
Does anyone know a retailer or someone that would put on the screen protector for me? I have tried many times in the past, and either get bubbles or corner-lift.

In a related question, what is the best screen protectors?

If you want a cheap one just go to Verizon and get a $10 3pack and have them put one on.
Best buy had the invisible shield for around $30 i think that they will install.
I've heard good things about tempered glass protectors but with this phones screen not being totally flat I'm not sure how they would work

I've been pretty happy with my Xtreme guard. You can use code 90off for a 90% discount right now. That comes out to like 70 cents a protector or something. Originally bought three in case I needed to replace one or had a bad install, but still on the first one.

I have a Spigen SlimArmor that has survived several bad drops from head height. It scratches easily due to the high gloss plastic, but protects well and looks great.

Just picked up the Cruzerlite TPU for the Verizon G2. Love it! Cutouts are perfect and it is very minimal but provides great protection also. Loks good too.
Only $12-13 on amazon. Lots of colors to choose from too.

Sounds awesome. I just ordered the green one on Amazon. Love the design with the Android mascot. I'll probably return my LG Quick Window case being I'm tired of opening a cover every time I need to do something important (it is a slick looking/well-made case though).

I just ordered the Ballistic Shell a few days ago before coming here. I have not received it yet, but I wish I would have ordered the Maxx for working out. I need the holster. Grrrr.

I just got my G2 Monday, but I have a tendency to drop phones so I don't care how bulky my case is. In less than a year I spent over $240 on screen replacement for my iPhone (even when it was in case). I read that the G2 has a very sensitive screen, watched countless drop tests and read/watched countless reviews.

I know that I had to either go with the Otterbox or something of the like. In pictures, the Otterbox Defender appears to be FAR more bulky than the Ballistic cases. I'm so hard on my phones that I was hesitant to try the Ballistic. I'll let you know how it works. I will also be adding a Zagg Invisible Shield (screen), just because!!

Best Buy regularly carries the otterbox here in the US, but that is about the only one I've seen short of the carrier stores.

I have the Seidio Surface case and holster. I really like the holster but the case doesn't seem like it gives much protection. Anyone familiar with a case that will give more protection but still fit the holster? I've tried a couple from Ebay that look slim but protective in the pictures but tend to be pretty bulky in hand. A kickstand would be nice but that's not a deal breaker.

I like using Leather Holster belt clip cases as it makes it easier to reach then having it in your pocket although you do have the choice to fit it in your pocket if you don't have a belt to clip it on.

I got this one from ebay which is actually for the Samsung Galaxy S4

and i use it with this plastic snap on hard case

Black Hard Stand Case Cover Belt Clip Holster FOR LG G2 2013 ATT Tmobile Sprint | eBay

This was the only snap on case that would fit in the above leather belt clip holster (dont forget the S4 is a little smaller then the G2). The fact that it had a kick stand was handy as it could sit on my desk or table and i could watch movies etc off it too so it offers another feature other then just protection. Its a little more slippery then i liked but not terribly so. I dumped the holster part of this case because it could only be used one way and i prefer the leather case.

I find that this combo offers excellent protection for the phone (both in your pocket and out), allows quick and easy access at all times (when using on a belt) whilst remaining reasonably compact. The leather case protects the entire phone especially the screen and the fact that it can be clipped you to your belt means that there is a pocket specifically for the phone (so its safe from your keys!) and the hard case adds an extra layer of protection and a viewing kickstand. You could always just use with the hard snap on case but me personally i prefer to use both at the same time for maximum protection.

The guy at the AT&T store just gave me an Otter Box defender because they didn't have the G2 in stock and I have to wait till weds to get it shipped to my house.

I'm getting a G2 with Verizon (through a reseller store) & it's being shipped to the store, should be there tomorrow after work. I got the Tudia case in pink & I'm excited - & hope I love the phone!

To go along with my green one I went ahead gor the orange, blue, and red ones too. I like my case to match my style. Lol Besides if you buy two you get one for free. :-D

I just got the Speck Candyshell and I really like it! It fits like a glove and looks great. I was using the Cruzerlite bugdroid case which I also like really well but I wanted a little better protection for my phone. The Speck case provides the protection I was looking for without feeling bulky. Fyi, I tried the Spigen slim armor case but returned it because it felt bulky. I highly recommend the Speck case. It may be kind of expensive but I think it was worth it!

Cheap case for LG G2?

For context, I spent $7 on my Nexus 7 case
For some cardboard, felt, and vinyl, $7 is the right price.
Very satisfied.

I just got my phone but I've bought a couple cases, none were very expensive. I bought this one for a couple dollars from Daydeal.com (who apparently just closed up shop?)

LG G2 2013 Tmobile ATT Sprint Two Tone TPU PC Hybrid Skin Case Cover Prytool | eBay

**My opinion is that this one is worthless, it's far too plastic & I wanted a gel/tpu case that will bounce if/when I happen to drop my phone.

--------------------
I bought the Tudia case many people have mentioned, it was just under $10.

**I like the case, but it does seem a bit more plastic-y than a case I had for my old phone. Overall I think it's a great case, but because of that, I ordered the one below for comparison (& because it's pretty inexpensive).

And just ordered this one from ebay yesterday:

In fact, I am not seeing the point of a case for the G2.
All it does is cover the back. Who cares.
It seems the only reason is to have a deep bezel to maybe prevent cracking if dropped. Yet, the ones posted do not have a deep bezel.

I have found 5 or 6 worthy benefits to using a Tudia UltraSlim case. YMMV:

1). Decreases the slipperyness of the device when I'm handling it
2). Helps it to stay in a loosely fitting pants pocket by increasing the friction with the pocket lining
3). Allows you to stand the thing up, say in landscape mode in your car's instrument cluster area when using Google Nav making it less likely for it to fall over / slip out of position.
4). Provides a bezel, even if small, that keeps the screen off a surface if the phone is placed face down (I use a screen protector as well)
5). Prevents scratches to the back of the device
6). Provides a detent area for assisting in tactile location of the rear buttons, which also reduces the likelihood of accidental button activation in the pocket.

TPU cases are a minimal investment but offer you some basic protection to the back and sides, and gives you a small bezel on the front that helps minimize the chance of screen damage when dropped. I had a TPU case on my last phone & accidentally dropped my phone 3 or 4 different times from various heights, the highest being about 4 feet onto the tile floor in a grocery store. Since TPU cases are primarily made of a silicone or rubber of some kind, the phone bounced gently when hitting the floor, and then landed safely with no damage at all - if I had no case the phone would have definitely been damaged. A TPU case can't offer the protection of a sturdy case like an Otterbox does, but a slim profile TPU case doesn't add much bulk but offers some protection.

Markus729: My last case was a Diztronic case, I loved it! I'm thinking of getting the pink sparkly one if the ebay case I just ordered isn't any good - I just wish they had a bigger variety of colors for this phone.

Early on when I first bought my G2 and there were no cases available, my phone fell out of my shirt pocket twice after bending over to pick up a box. It only dropped about 1-2 feet, but the bezel on the phone got all dented and mashed in from hitting the concrete.

I don't know how it compares to others but the Tudia Ultraslim Case I purchased for my Verizon model can be seen via the following URL. Other models like AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile can be selected at that link. Amazon sells pretty much everything. Sometimes things are cheaper on eBay, but not always.Scroll down and you will find other TPU cases.

Another benefit to researching on Amazon... plethora of customer reviews...
