Where are the cases?

for accessories like phone case, I always search around on amazon and ebay, compare the price and then buy a value of money one. The one from telco are normally heavily over priced.

Glad to hear the Diztronics are finally shipping. I ordered mine nearly a month ago and just heard they were restocking their supplies.

I have the diztronic as well, actually use them on all my phoned, they are great. Also try the spigen slim armor, very nice as well.

I only use Diztronic cases, they make great cases. Just wish they would start making the smoke grey colors again.

Well I had to place an overnight order on amazon for a few things yesterday evening, so I added the tudia ultra slim tpu case to that order. I'll report back this evening on it. I also ordered the diztronic, but its shipping USPS 3-5 day so I won't have it until next week.

Ha, I ordered the exact same 2 cases. :)
The Tudia is quite nice. A hair bulky for a TPU but not bad.

Got a Diztronic too. Thin and light enough for me, but YMMV. Hard to judge if it will be so for your needs since we're all different.

Great case though--inexpensive, well built, fit and cutouts are perfect, enough of a front lip to protect the screen when placed screen side down but not so big as to be obtrusive, and an understated look. I'm actually not a fan of the texture feel, but that's a minor complaint and it's certainly much more secure feeling in hand than the slippery phone back.

I need to return my broken phone today, but since I got the Tudia case in I took some side by side pictures of the Incipio feather and Tudia Ultra Slim TPU cases. The second pic is a shot taken across the screen of the G2 with the Incipio on it, and the Tudia encased G2 is sitting right behind it so you can see the difference in height... that black line is it.

Initial thoughts: Tudia is MARGINALLY bigger, almost imperceptible, but it has a full coverage around the edges (what got me with the feather) and a small lip sticking past the screen that would protect it from a faceplant drop onto a mostly smooth surface. However, the Incipio has just the right amount "stick" so it doesn't slide out of your hand, whereas the Tudia back is very slick, so I have to hold it with my pinky under the bottom to keep it from sliding out of my hand when I'm holding it with one hand. There might be another Tudia ultra slim that doesn't have this slick back, but I didn't get that.

Here is the Tudia I ordered - Amazon.com: TUDIA Ultra Slim Melody Series TPU Protective Case for LG G2 (for Verizon ONLY) - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories
I just got my Diztronic in - its pretty much the exact same size as the Tudia so that will give a good comparison to the Incipio feather. The back feels just as slick to me as the Tudia, but it is pretty cold in my house right now so I will update after a few days of using it to see if its just the chill in the air. Otherwise, its a really nice case... like the Tudia ultra slim.

This is bullky for a tpu case? Good to know... Do you have the diztronic yet? I'd like to see the 2 cases side by side if you could.

Woops, I'm sorry. I ordered the Poetic Palette one instead; not the Diztronic. I do have a Diztronic for my Gnex and it's definitely thinner than the Tudia if that helps.

Amazon.com: Diztronic Pink GlitterFlex TPU Case for LG G2 (Verizon Only - Model VS980) - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories

got this for wife but she did not put it on, she wanted a more protective one at the moment which we had also ordered: Amazon.com: [SlickGearsTM] Heavy Duty Combat Armor Kickstand Case w/ Belt Holster for LG G2 / Optimus G2 (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and International Version) + Premium Screen Protector (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

The diztronic case is as advertised. probably not the thinnest but offers all edge protection. I can see her moving to it eventually.

Did you guys try any D3O cases yet?
Or Body Glove Hybrid Gel case?

The reason I mentioned these, they are both in stock at local T-Mo store and I really don't want to wait too long to get a case (will receive my G2 tomorrow). I guess I can buy them try and return if they feel too bulky.. I don't like gappy cases either.
I bought Newegg case for my wife's galaxy, it was just $3 and it has been serving her very well, no gaps, amazing looking thing, i can't speak about protection I don't think she even dropped her phone on concrete, but overall some cheap cases are actually nice.

Finally got my Poetic Palette case. Really love it! Super thin, nice and grippy. Doesn't look terribly protective, but I just wanted something to cover up the really slippery back.
Some pics next to the Tudia. It's much thinner, I dig it. The Tudia will be relegated to a backup or if I am out and need a little more protection. :D

(also, that may look like scratches on the bottom, but it's just a lot of dust from bringing it to work at the bakery)

I really don't like that bottom and top being unprotected. I love to keep it protected all around. Good think about this case is you can use pouch with it.

The back part of the case comes up above the edges and the corners are covered where I feel is most important. Like I said, this is literally the bare minimum of a case. I've never damaged any of my phones since my OG Droid and rarely every have a case on them. Happy with this one though. :)

Thats actually very tempting... its like the Incipio feather but with the cherished coverage on top and bottom added on.

If only it was compatible with the VZW version.

I agree but so doubt this will provide true protection against falls on concrete.

I got the Diztronic case but it doesn't do justice and so still drool over the display units in stores when I see a naked G2.
Screen looks great naked, touchscreen feels great without screen protector. Too bad we are clumsy as hell or afraid that we will drop our phones. .....

+1 for the Tudia recommended by reeseboy. I got mine in black for vzw via amazon. No issues with it working with my wireless QI compatible charger. I like that all the access points, ir blaster, microphones are uncovered. Very happy with it. Agree that the lip around the perimeter keeps screen off. A flat surface. May now enable flip gestures to pause video or cancel calls.

Haven't seen anything on here about cases so I figured I would start one.

I recently purchased the Poetic Flipbook Case for LG G2 Black. Honestly its a decent case. I find myself using the stand functionality a lot more than I thought. However the G2 does not have a magnetic portion of it and the case is forced to be held down with suction cups, this to me makes it feel a bit cheap and is the 2nd biggest problem with this case. The biggest problem is the back. The back is too thick after the plastic then the material that surrounds the entirety of the case and makes pressing the back buttons a bit of a hassle. Keep in mind that I have the Verizon wireless version so yours may be different.

What case are you guys using and what is your experience so far?

I just ordered the Incipio Feather case and will be here on Wednesday. I have heard really good things about it from other forums and reviews. I'll post up pics of it once I get it.

FWIW: There actually is another thread on cases:
http://androidforums.com/lg-g2/804292-need-case.html

Report how you like yours. I'm liking my TUDIA UltraSlim case. I am using a screen protector - I recommend you get one. I cannot necessarily recommend the screen protector I purchased. It's functional, fits OK, but finger smudges show.

The critical thing to remember is the VZW model differs from the others enough that you have to be careful purchasing a case that was specifically designed for your model/carrier G2.
