Where can I buy Archos Tablets / Phones ect from the UK and in particular Coventry?

Hello!

Hopefully the cheerful Pomes / Brilliant Brits can help me out here

My brother is in Coventry atm and I wanna know where can I ask him to buy an Archos phone / tablet pc in the UK Coventry?

I want to make it as easy and stress free for him as he is there on business and don't want to be too much of a worry / hassle for him... basically where can he buy an ARCHOS tablet / phone PC in Coventry?

I have always had great admiration for Archos in particular as I love how they embrace Open Source and all sorts of tinkering with their SDE firmware...

Looooove them as a company... they have definitely got my approval

I know I could get any machine but I want an Archos just over how much I like the company and in it's attempts to embrace developers with open arms instead of the other way round... yes you lose your warranty but I don't think ANY OTHER company has the balls to do what they do...

Is there a "Currys" in Coventry?

Would Amazon UK deliver to him straight?

What about any other stores in general??

Yes, Currys are in Coventry, in the big retail park... they also trade under the name of PC-World, so he shouldn't have any problem.

Archos doesn't tend to have much of a presence on the UK high street, apart from a few budget ones, sometimes in supermarkets.

Argos may be worth trying, if you like any of these 3, and you should be able to walk into a store, and walk away with one (after you've paid)..

I assume he's visiting, hence the question about Amazon.. Don't know what their rules are on delivery i'm afraid, but i'm guessing that if https://www.amazon.co.uk/ would take his order they should be able to deliver. Amazon does ship to the US. If it can't it says so. Have your friend transship.

If in the US, sometimes ebay (if you trust it) and I've seen some Archos tablets at Adorama Camera in NYC. They do ship and are reliable. The only caveat is they are Orthodox Jews and you simply won't get any answer from Friday Night to Sunday. They will call on a Sunday am.

Toys R Us has some children's Archos.

Well I will see what I can get my hands on looks great so far!

Hmm it doesnt look like they have anything on offer that will support their SDE firmware which is what I really want aww bugger :/ ... they have the Xenon 101b but doesn't seem like it will support SDE firmware... I really want it to be supported drat.

Asda sometimes sells Archos tablets along with Maplins.

I wanted the Archos gen 9 Devices - they are very nice to me they are awesome!
