Help Where did my Google search go?

BluBrett

I have a D801 G2 with G2 Xposed installed and my Google search when swiping up from the home button has disappeared, but I don't remember changing that setting. Does anyone know where to start in getting it back?

Yeah, where's the setting for that? Hmmm.

Probably, you messed up something with Google Now. Maybe you could go into Settings | Manage Apps, and clear Google Now Cache?

You might try downloading "Google Now Swype Disabler". Then I think you can reset the possible stuff to default (or choose another app to launch in it's place). If you successfully reset stuff back to defaults, then I guess you could uninstall the disabler program.

Google Search was just updated today along with several other Gapps. Might be conflicting now with something on your setup? I use G2 Xposed also but I didn't have any problems. May be launcher related, do you use one?

FWIW, the "hey google" thing is working for me now on JB.

My launcher is just the Google home launcher. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling the Google search app and G2 Xposed

Edit: uninstalled and reinstalled the Google search updates. Had to completely redo my home screen but my Google icon is back when swiping up from home.
