Where did everyone order from? What was the deal/cost.

I could do a pretty decent trade up through Project Fi. Still expensive but makes it almost affordable lol.

I ordered through Fi, I will be getting the google mini code.

I ordered through Verizon. $300 off with my trade in.

I ordered my non-XL through CarphoneWarehouse (in the UK). They were offering delivery before Google were offering to dispatch, all other aspects of the deal the same (unlocked, same price, Home Mini thrown in), so it made sense.

(Had I been buying an XL they were also offering the Panda for delivery in November when Google had been out of stock for several days. Guess most people went straight to Google and didn't consider that there were options).
