Help Where do downloaded files save to

Hey all, i was browsing on the internet on my phone and something automatically started to download, i couldnt stop it downloading in time so went into downloads and deleted it, i did an avast scan and it still picked it up so pressed delete

i was wondering where downloads save to, is it the phone or the sd card?

The default directory for downloads is on the phone's memory at sdcard/Download

Which, to clarify for the OP, is not your actual microSD card but the built in memory of the phone.

Yes. I meant to say sdcard0/Download. Forgot the "0"

Is there a setting to change it to the external card? Or do I just delete the directory from internal and create one on the external?
