You should have an icon in your app draw.

Press your home button, then press the blue Square that has 4 white squares icon. That brings up the app draw, just swype your finger left to right to change pages. It should appear there.

Apps are stored in the internal sd card

Specifically, it goes into the /data/app folder, that Astro cannot view. This is a security function, so that other apps cannot tamper with what you have installed. Although you can root and use an app that has a root explorer built in to browse the /data and /system folders.

Referred to as an sd card, but yes its internal (obviously) as oppose to the external sd card (swappable) just load "my files".

Internal storage is "memory" and not an sd card. An sd card is a physical card you insert into it.

Well actually, the Galaxy s3 has an internal SD card. An Actual sdcard that is hardwired in and cannot be removed.

The usual /system /cache and /data partitions actually sit on this physical SD card.
