Where does apps install?

I am wondering where the installer installs apps at? I want to make sure since after reading comments on some apps when you use built in program it doesn't do all of the program - mainly just the update.

All apps go to phone memory. MotoNAV is the only exception as it is very large and would not fit in phone memory.

I have Astro File Manager, where do I navigate to within it?

You can't get to the folder in astro for piracy reasons.

What question are you asking? If you use the uninstaller it uninstalls ALL of the program..

if you have a rooted phone, you open up adb shell and go to /data/app if its unprotected.

I just want to clear up a couple of false remarks in this thread...

The main application is stored in phone memory but many apps also store data on the SD card.

If you use the uninstaller it uninstalls ALL of the program..

Many apps will leave things behind when uninstalling especially on the SD card.

Not necessarily. I have seen a bunch of apps keep user data in /sdcard and subfolders, which they didn't clean up on uninstall. So check there for the names of apps you've uninstalled.
