Where does HTC Sync put documents on the phone

Hi,
I want to use HTC Sync to transfer PC documents to the phone. Suppose I scan in a document into a pdf on my PC and want to transfer it to my phone via HTC Sync. Where does it end up on my phone?

I did a test, creating on my PC a document 'test.txt', placed it in a folder and pointed HTC Sync to it (Sync PC documents from...). Then did a sync. I could not find the document test.txt on my phone however... This thread '228887-change-folders-htc-sync-saves.html' explains very clearly how to change directories on the PC side, but I'm wondering how to do it on the phone side.
Thanks for any input

I have been trying to find the same answer for my HTC Inspire. I have HTC Sync installed correctly and can see all of my contacts that are synced, but my documents remain a mystery. Where are they stored and how do I access them. I've even tried looking through Quickoffice.
