Where in this world

Not that I am unhappy with my current circumstances. (because if I have to be here doing this for the rest of my life, it could be much worse)

But honestly, since you asked, due to certain changes of late - people moving away, family disagreements, certain things that hang over my head due to where I am and what I am doing .... I'd like to move someplace warm, isolated, maybe even a bit "behind the times". I just had a birthday, as I get older I find I am more interested in just watching the world go by and enjoy the company of my lovely wife. I spent the front 9 working to be the best I could be, help people, take care of friends and family, do what I could to make the world a bit better than I found it.

Anymore, I'm tired, disenfranchised, cynical. I don't want to be that way cause it's the opposite of who I was and who I wanted to be. So if I was offered an island in the middle of nowhere with an average yearly temperature of 80's during the day and 60's overnight ... I'd pack tomorrow.

Me too.... as I am growing older... all I want is peace and quiet... where very few people go... maybe even also a bit behind the times... when people were people and decent... or... just cared a bit more...

There is so much noise in this world today people are actually just crazy... I also love peace and quiet too.

I have a saying that I made the other day... it most probably has been said by some one before more than likely who feels just the same or very close:

"Silence is not golden... because gold has a price tag!"

Basically saying it can cost me happiness to be in such a loud area or world...

I would love to live some where quiet and peaceful...

Like Iraq!!!

:-D

I would love to be somewhere with more daylight. I'm lacking melatonin. Leaving for work in the dark, coming home when is dark again.
Like... Arizona maybe?

The "problem" with locations between the tropics is that they have relatively equal daylight and darkness all year round. It can get tedious.

Yeah well, but this is energy draining:

Hmmm, I didn't realize that you were 13° farther north than me. I'm at 39.9°N a little further south than Rome. Okay, you win (or lose depending on your perspective. ;) )

This is me:

And 191 until we're flying to Alaska!
Speaking of 'where in the world do you want to be' ...
(not counting either, hehe)

so... why u going to Alaska? which city?

I hear the MEN way out number the women. so.. is that the real reason you going? :P

Anchorage, Fairbanks, Tok, Anchorage, Homer, Anchorage, and flying to Seattle for a car trip to Minneapolis. Altogether three weeks of great sceneries, wildlife and peaceful quiet.

I'm in Anchorage and manage a hotel. If you need a place to stay, PM me!

I've also driven from Minneapolis to Butte, MT. If you're taking I-94, make sure you stop at Mt. Rushmore. I loved it out there!

Hammocks, though nice are overrated. On an island like that the sand is powdery soft and cool on a hot sunny day. Why in the wild wild world of sports would you want to dangle yourself just above the wonderful soft cool sand below?
o_O

I keed I keed.
Well actually everything I said was true but I like hammocks too. And I wouldn't mind a lovely woman (my beloved wife) in an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini on said beach as well. :D

I hope when I am 80 I am the type of grandpa (if I am blessed enough that my children give me grandchildren) that happily exclaims ... "Ok kids, time for bed, I'mma gonna go have sex with your grandma!"

:D
