Help Where is a safe place to get old apk's?

Hi all!

I need help! I need to find an apk for an old version of an app. But I'm not sure what sites would be safe to get it from. I do know how to get it installed once I get it. But I've not gotten any apk's from anywhere other than the developer or the Google or Amazon stores.

The problem is with Alarm Clock Xtreme, since I did an update on it the app is constantly screwing up, the previous version worked perfectly, I contacted AVG to see if they'd send me the old apk but they won't 'due to some security reasons'.

If you can recommend safe places to get apk's I'd greatly appreciate it. I've not found another app that works as well & has the features that I want.

Thanks!!

The one place I get apps that isn't the Play Store is from the Android Police site. I always joke that if you can't trust the Android Police who can you trust, lol, but I haven't seen any of the veteran members every say it wasn't a safe site so I think you are pretty safe with it. I haven't had any problems with anything I have downloaded from there yet!

You can check www.apkmirror.com (the Android Police affiliate site that @hiredgun mentioned); their downloads are vetted and considered safe (they won't post an apk if its cryptographic signature doesn't match what's on the Play Store), but they usually only stock Google apps and others from exceptionally well-known developers.

If the developer doesn't want to provide an old (working) version for a long-time user, though, they probably also don't approve of old versions of their app being distributed elsewhere.
