Help Where is Google Talk on my phone?

Do I have to download google talk on my phone? I tried the serch widget but found nothing. One would think it would be on an Android phone by default.

Errrm, it's on the N1 by default so I assume it must be on the Droid too. No luck with your app drawer?

its called talk and has an speech bubble with talk inside it.
it should be preinstalled.
