Where is "Recent/Open Apps" Button On Galaxy J3?

As long as I well helping my family member with some issues (posted in other threads) she asked me how to see open apps and close them after using them (so they're not using battery, storage etc). I know how to find and close open apps on my LG but I don't see the equivalent button on the Samsung Galaxy.

Of course unless there is fault in the app it will go to sleep after its finished its task and won't be using battery. And the system will clear the RAM if it needs it, whereas if you open the app again after closing it it will use more power loading it than if you never closed it and it was still in RAM.

So I'm not convinced that it's worth doing this. I never do, I just let the system manage these things.

Thank you ocnbrze. It is the 2318 version. Neither of us would have noticed that as it is a poor design: a very, very light grey indeterminate symbol against a black background. Almost invisible, especially in less than ideal lighting.

Thank you again!
