Help where is software update function

paulthom

Lurker
i have a uk t-mobile phone.
in the about device option there is no update software option.

where is it?

how do i check for updates?

Orange branded phones removed the option, I wonder if T-Mobile did as well? Given that they're now sister companies it wouldn't surprise me.

It should be under settings > about device > software update.

I have a T-Mobile phone, purchased through Tesco and I do have those options

Is it a T-Mobile branded phone or is it unbranded, just used on the T-Mobile network?

If it's T-Mobile branded you should have T-Mobile apps on it and you'll probably have a T-Mobile logo at boot too. Unbranded just has the Samsung logo.

Ah right, it's unbranded

mine has no branding on the phone itself but was a contract phone picked up from a t-mobile shop. they must have removed the option

T-mobile would make you wait for an update anyway. Have you considered unbranding?

i got my phone and my wifes from the t mobile shop and there are no tmobile apps on the phone or anything on the start up screen. when i go into settings - about device, software update is the first option.
