 gave up my BB9000 for the galaxy2s 4days ago so I am trying to understand what this phone and system can do for ME. yes i have a gmail account and i have tried to sync contacts, calendar, gmail, etc. i have tried it with wifi, usb, and over wirless phone line. i have ony been able to update the calendar. by placeing test notice on the gmail calendar and the phone for different dates that works correctly. no contacts, music, photos... the computer is a toshiba satellite a665 with cable isp. any ideas-thank you

music or photos dont sync to Gmail. Well photos syncs to Picasa but I never enabled that (its a Google service). Contacts will only sync on Gmail if your phone is set to use Gmail contacts and not phone contacts.

thank you very much i did find the books on google under more. now the question is how to bring phone contacts over to gmail contacts

open contacts app>menu>export/import>export all contacts to SD card. Delete all the contacts on your phone. Then go back to export/import>import from SD card. It will then ask you to save to phone or to your gmail account. Choose gmail account. I dont remember how I did it, but I made all my new contacts save by default to Gmail. It lets you choose where to save it anyway when making a new contact.
