I just bought a Galaxy S2 yesterday and have not been able to connect to Kies. Ive gone thru all the forums and googled possible fixes only to get the same result. Im a former iJunkee and dont know where to start. Could use some guidance please. 
I have all the right drivers and and have done Hawkers steps about 8 times now. I get to where the comp reads the phone and i can drag and drop items but not connect to Kies. It attemps to connect and then says "Unable to start device services. Unplug and re-plug device"
I dont know if i have the latest software either...

Whats are the benefits of flashing the phone?
