Root Where to start...

Ok,

I previously rooted the phone to Condemned CM7, I think v18...

Now checked back and realize there is a new version.

#1 - Besides D/Ling the new ROM, what do I need to do to keep all my apps and data but still get the upgrade?

#2 - How do I go about upgrading to the new ROM? I've briefly searched but haven't found the specifics to walk me through.

Lemme check but I think you can flash over it and retain everything.

You'll have to do a full wipe. Do you have Titanium Backup?

I just downloaded and installed Titanium Backup... it is running as I type this right now.

I'm also going to switch from the Condemned to the standard CM7.1 that I just pulled directly from here: CyanogenMod Mirror Network - Powered by TDRevolution

It is currently located in the /sdcard/ folder on the phone

Ok,

Think I figured it out...

Rebooted into recovery mode
Got to the BootLoader
Factory Reset Wipe
Dalvik Wipe
Installed ROM
Dalvik Wipe
Reboot

Phone booted up REALLY quickly, I was surprised...

2 Things... the Launcher at the bottom of the page disappeared faster than I can say hello... how do I get it back, and where can I get the Google Apps so that I can get to the Market to re-install Titanium Backup?

The paid version allows you to do more with it. Anyway you can backup all your apps and user data then restore them with the new rom. Do not backup system data.

Ok... Figured out the launcher by re-applying the theme.

Now, where is the best place to get the Google APK for the Market so that I can get Titanium re-installed?

If gapps (google apps) wasn't with the rom it should have been offered as a separate download. If not I'll have to look for one.

Totally got it working and that link listed is the correct one to get the gappsapk for any version of Cyanogenmod.
