Where's My Droid problem

My problem is simple. My notification sound cuts the ringtone so I cannot locate the phone because it cuts right after 2 seconds of ringtone.

Using Handcent to receive and send text messages.

How are you guys doing to make it work fine?

Edit: Even when i put ringtone to silent the notification from handcent is cutting the ringtone... so the problem is not related to the notification sound but the pop up alert itself
