Help Which carrier provides my update

Sorry for the rotten title but I'm struggling to describe my question. I swapped my iphone for this s3. The person I got it from was using the phone on t-mobile (uk) and unlocked the handset. I'm not sure if the handset was provided by tmobile unlocked or she asked them too. My carrier is Vodafone (uk) and all works fine.

Anyway the question is who provides the Android updates. Tmobile because the phone was with them originally or Vodafone because thays the carrier I'm current using?

Hope that makes sense to someone

Hmm I would say that if the device was completely unlocked, which it sounds like it is from what you said, then the updates will be be pushed direct from Samsung so you should get them a bit faster.

Unlocked isn't necessarily unbranded.

Its definitely not vodafone.

It could be t-mobile branded. If it is, then there's the answer. If not, samsung.

You can work it all out from the csc. From dial pad, *#1234#

Thank you! I know the jb 4.1.2 is just out by Samsung where is the best place to find out when it's released?
