I need a help book for my Epic 4G Touch, Android 2.3.6 but can't see which Droids for Dummy book applies? I see there is a book for Droid X, Droid 2, Droid 3 among others; is one as good as another?
Hi carolted, those appear to relate to specific models of the Motorola Droid series and wouldn't be the most relevant to you. Rather than spend some money on a book, maybe some of our members could help you (for free)?
I would personally stay away from buying a dummies book for Android. It is a static guide for a fluid system. Ask your questions here and you'll be up to speed in no time.
We are a community of helpful folks and enthusiasts with experience using several devices and Android in general. You'll get personal support here for anything legal. All of us were new to Android at some point so we started where you are now. Ask away, and welcome to Android Forums.
Wow, three of us giving a nice warm welcome. To carolted, again, ask away, I hope you see what AF is all about. The only dumb question here is the one that is not asked.
Most Android devices can zoom the camera digitally. For the Galaxy Nexus I have now, there is a slider on the screen for zoom. On my older droids, the volume rocker could be used for zooming the camera. Try these while I check for specifics on your phone.
PS. I'm going to move this over to the Epic 4G forum so folks familiar with your phone can help, but if you ask any further questions here, I'll see them.
I don't believe the TW based camera app has built in zoom however the Epic and Epic Touch are capable of zoom. If it's not built into your stock camera app as a feature, just try some other camera apps from the Play Store. At most however your only going to get digital zoom, not optical.
