Hey, I was wondering which files do I need to delete in order to remove the Android Market app? My phone is rooted of course, and looking under /system/app it looks like there's no Android Market app per se, but looks like it's either located somewhere else or I need to delete a combination of different apk's in order to get rid of it. So I was wondering if anyone here knows where it's located or which apk's I need to delete exactly. Thanks for any help.

Don't know why you want to remove it, but it's called vending.apk.
You are correct. There are certain things you don't remove on an Android phone and the Market is one of them. Maps you can get away with uninstalling for example, but you're asking for trouble messing with the Market (I still call it that because Play sounds ridiculous).
Why anyone would look to remove it is baffling. Good luck updating apps without the Market too.
Thanks. I assume that and the market updater app go hand in hand?
Market updater's purpose is to update the market app, so if you are removing the one you don't need the other either.
