It depends on where you live.
Depends on your location.

i live in manhattan, nyc. please let me know guys..
If you look on the coverage maps on sensory.com like I mentioned you'll see that t-mobile has a lot better coverage then metro. Metro isnt bad where you are, but t-mobile has a lot more. The site doesnt show 4g for t-mobile though just 3g for whatever reason. metro does show 4g and has decent coverage. The 3g for metro isnt the best though. I'd say t-mobile would be a better choice for you from looking at the maps.
I attached screen grabs of the coverage for you. First one is Metro 2g/3g, 2nd is metro 4g and 3rd is t-mobile 3g. I dont know why they dont have 4g in the drop down box for anywhere.
Tmobile is in the process of obtaining metro so either

I had/have both and as good as a signal I get with Metro I plan to go back to t-mobile in 6 months.
so youre not happy with metro? where are u located? i myself am in nyc. and i got tmobile paying $55 prepaid (including taxes). but metro charges $40. so let me know if i should stay with tmo or move to metro. thanks.
its actually a reverse aquisition. metro will be running tmobile. tmobile in europe will just own majority of stocks

Actually no existing T-Mobile will be the leader. Its just called a reverse acquisition because T-Mobile is going under the metropcs stock ticker (PCS) but T-Mobile/DT will own 74% which is the majority & metropcs with the existing shareholders will have the remaining. You can also tell T-Mobile is in charge since the only executive from metropcs that will be staying is the Chief Financial Officer, J. Braxton Carter
i read DT no longer wishes to manage tmobile US which is why this merger happened.
Honestly if you are on t-mobile pre paid and get good signal and call quality which I assume you do after looking at the coverage maps for your area I'd stick with them even if you are paying a little more. You probably get more data with t-mobile too. That's what I'd do if I were you anyways.
