How do I know if I have a custom kernel?
When I go to settings>about phone, it says 2.6.32.9 kernel

When I go into recovery, it says Voodoo Lagfix recovery

How do I know which kernel I have?

it should tell you in about phone what kernel you have, what you posted was just the version, the kernel name should be with the version number too as you can see in the screenshot below.
