Which pc suite to use

Hi,
Newcomer to android here.

Very quick question...which pc suite to use?
1)Kies works ok but bluetooth refuses to work with it
cable works but is too cumbersome and wifi shows a blank list for contacts
2)New PC studio..can't connect and only 2 choices(symbian/windows mobile)
probably doesn't support it...Version 1.5(latest)

is there a third or better alternative?

Some people also use Kies Air - which gives you browser access into your phone. It's not really a sync just drag drop copying. I do not use it myself because the browser crashes everytime (IE9).

I am using separate sync for Outlook - Companion link with Deja Office on the phone.

There are other options - keep searching around and trying some things. If you are trying to move or sync PIM data (contact, calendar etc.) not just photos, music and other media - make sure you back up your PC data. You always want a fresh master copy. When you sort through varios sync options they are always notorious for either duplicating or wholesale changes you don't want (categories etc). Not saying it will, but when it does and you have no PC back up, it's a tedious process tryingto put things back together.

thanks a lot
i've tried myphoneexplorer and it is working very well (till now)
it's weird missing ovi suite :P

if there is a similar program please tell me as well

I've been using myphoneexplorer for years coming off a long line of past sony ericsson mobiles and I have to say for an independently supplied free app its excellent.

You'll do well to find something better

I am currently only using the contacts function but i have to say that while it works quite well..actually better than kies which shows blank list..
it does have it drawbacks
One of them is, it's not really quite precise when it comes to syncing

Particularly when it comes to syncing contacts from phone with Facebook contacts.
I edit them in the program, click sync..list in front of me changes but phone doesn't change.
So I have to manually do it on the phone.
Which kinda defeats the purpose.

Though it remains the best i've found yet.

Agree hawker..
only few days of owning sg 2 and i am already missing ovi suite like I said before
which I thought would never happen considering its quirkiness
