I own the Moment went o the Optimus-S, defective, back on my Moment.

next year 10.00 more we may go to 4G waiting for better phones.

I am a Primeir rewards ..... I am locked to another 2 yr contract but next year I get again a new phone.

Whant new phone would you get, from the Moment to?

would you keep to thesamestyle I think its the interceptor, moment2 etc..

not yet ready for 4g.

I think I can liv with what I got with 3g. I do not use my phone 100% but do surf, play a game here and there, DAm Angry birds are a LAGG I will geta Itouch if had to LOL.

thanks all.

At this time, if you have tried Optimus S and came back to Moment then there is no decent upgrade to another Android phone without the $10 data add-on.

So your not going to upgrade rite now but in a year..? Then why ask this question rite now. I'm sure in about a year there will be way better phones than rite now.

But if you were to upgrade rite now then id say go with the Epic 4G as I played with it for like 2 hours the other day at my local sprint store & I love it. That's what I'm going to be switching too this weekend from the moment.

If you didn't say you already had a Optimus S I would have suggested that phone. It's been getting pretty good reviews. What was wrong with it? The Intercept is a step down from the Moment, the Transform isn't a whole lot better and I've seen a lot of complaints about the Zio. The Evo Slide will be out in a few days, but it will have the $10 4G tax attached.

thank you.

I gotten my Moment last year, brand new, and defective, Sprint sent me what was supposed to be new, which was unwrapped and looked used,, I gotten this year the Optimus new and defective, and do not want the same thing again getting a refurbbed....

I will wait a litte while before I decide my final decision, I know I cannot return the next phone I pick.Sprints rules.

WHy I stepped back to my Moment?

Moment speakerphone is LOUDER, of all sounds that the Optimus-S is LOWER, the vibrate is STRONGER then the Weaker Op-S

the phone is much faster and on within under a minute OP vs Moment 2 minute. I never shut down my Moment.

I gotten used to a keyboard slide out vs the touchcreen. if I need to text I can do it on the keys tehn touch better,

I preferre the heaviness over the lightness.

WHy wait till next Year More 4g coverage more phones, and other member will switch. I am again a Primeir rewards, so next year I will get another FREE phone. then not gettinga phone.

i'm up for a upgrade right now and considering if i should wait or not. that new evo shift looks nice. but after moto's badass showing at ces, i might have to jump ship to verizon soon.

EVO shit looks nice? seriously?

Do you mind elaborating why you think so?

After I took a look, to be honest it looks like a joke compared to the og EVO. 800MHz processor, 3.6" screen, 2gb sd card...

Unless from here to feb.01 Sprint doesn't come up with another phone I can't wait to get rid of my moment as a phone (will still play with it after) I will go for either the new evo shift or the Epic... Even though the evo has a 1ghz processor the 800mhz of the evo shifts beats the evo's right away (to me) mainly cause of the better battery management and actually it's faster since is a newer tech. processor, which can be overclocked higher than the evo.
Hdmi output? front facing Camera? I don't care about the hdmi output.. but yes I'm kinda disappointed that the shift doesn't have a front camera.

So on the other side the epic and Samsung's sloooooowliness to update their devices..

It looks like the Evo shift 4g will be the winner for me.. (as of right now) still trying to decide though

the screen is smaller but looks really good. the keyboard feels really nice, i messed with one today. and that 800mhz processor is a beast. don't let the clock speed fool you. it's a new architecture processor and actually out performs a 1 ghz snap dragon.

and yes, all the good shit is going to verizon. all that awesome moto stuff, and even the really awesome samsung stuff. i'm gonna be forced to leave sprint.

There's going to be a flurry of hi end phones released along with LTE going live. They will be better than the aging first gen wimax hardware. After that dies down a little there will be the successor to the Evo and Epic that will trump the then aging first gen LTE stuff. And so it goes. If you've got the money to pay the etf every time a competing network gets the hot phone, have at it. Personally, I'll stick with my network choice first, then phone strategy.

The other problem we have right now is that hardware has well outstripped software. Besides wanting the latest greatest shining bauble, there's little functional reasons for a Evo, Epic, MotoX, Dinc, etc owner to upgrade. Because of battery life issues, 4g is going to be little more than a sales pitch for a while yet. Many want it, most will avoid using it regularly when they have it. Like in the pc world, 3D gaming is about the only thing that comes close to stressing out the current hardware. If you're a gamer, you need the fastest multi core dual video card water cooled hardware around. Otherwise, unless you're in the SJRDF, the dirt cheap $400 laptop is awesome.

so true, the Moment gets used to listen to a radio station while I work, check a site or two, text here and there. make a call.

I am not a desk junkie, that has time to sit and play LOL. so 4g is top speed for what. not much more than the next gen of stuff.

AT&T is not even eithernet ready LMAO!

Agree. All these announcements at these shows gives a glimpse of what you can expect down the road.

Went from a piece of crap Moment to another piece a crap Intercept. Finally got an early upgrade to an EVO. Don't have 4G and don't care, it makes them look like the crap they are.

Thanks

I guess I am pleased with the phone . I do wantto keep to push buttons ratehr a touch slide button.

Maybe one day if a person gets in there and rather be told what to make, and make what the people want. they'll make all happy.
