That's my plan. Calling them up tomorrow morning. Hell, I may drive the 20 minutes out there and hassle them.

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!

4 hours away from my new Hero. I have been up since Six, I've been poking around looking at videos and blogs and such, and all I can say it, I hate getting someone elses opinion about something of this nature. It is probably the coolest thing I have come into contact with yet, and there are people ragging on it, what with the 1.5 OS, the autobright feature being wonky, and on and on, but in reality, this thing is probably so super neat-o, that I'm going to have to search for my socks after taking posession of it later.

So, I guess it's back to time kill central for the next few hours. See you all for lunch!
 
Best Buy just called to tell me my Hero was in. I took the first available appointment, 5:30pm today.

Picked up the wife's Hero an hour ago at BB. They even gave me a copy of Madden 10 for free...

So much phun to be had and an afternoon of work in the way of it....
 
I'm not 100% sure :/

When I walked in for my appointment they asked me if I had a game console and said something to the effect of the Mobile department was running a package incentive for new customers. The receipt says '9222824 15883 With 49.98 package price disc'

Not sure if that helps.
 
They had some promo running. I didnt get the deal, but I believe it was in with the email they sent with the coupon for early pick up.
 
It took some effort, but I was able to score my phone this evening. For all those who are uncertain about trying to get the phone early if you are not a "real" Reward Zone member, I say you have nothing to lose. I joined Reward Zone on Wednesday. I called my local store that day and they said it was fine to pick up the phone. I went after work today and had to wait while another guy was getting his Hero setup. But, it was only the two of us. The Best Buy rep said it was going to be crazy on Sunday. They had to give me a different phone once the first phone they set up for me didn't quite want to finish configuring. My second phone seemed to need much more hands-on intervention than the guy before me. His seemed to work without issue on its own. So, it took over an hour, but I got it. Another thing to note was that they didn't have any accessories out. The rep thought they had them, but had no idea where. These are things like screen protectors and cases. She said they would be out by Sunday. We'll see how it goes.
 
funny story - my appt was at 1030

but i got there at 1030 - "josh" had a 1000 appt, but he wasn't there!

so, they started processing me


ten minutes into it, he showed up! (oops!lol)

but we had a good conversation - he really knew alot about android



yeah - had the RZ coupon

also bought a car-charger (thx for the tip tatts!)
