Getting a new account with Verizon and I am a bit stuck on what I should get....

Galaxy Nexus for 79.99
or HTC Rezound for 49.99
or Motorola Droid 4 for 99.99
or something else?

I love my Gnex but I suppose it depends on what you are looking for in your phone.

Do you want vanilla android? Hardware keyboard? Anything else specific...?

I love the G2x but I hate Tmobile so I love Vanilla Android....but I don't know just having a hard time choosing....I know I want ICS...tired of GB.

Sounds like the Gnex would be a good choice if you like vanilla android and want ICS it has both. The rezound has sense and is on GB, the D4 has blur and is on GB.

Well Amazon won't take a security deposit, so I will have to get the rezound because it's still rather cheap on Verizon's site and just settle for ICS when it makes it's apparance on it.

I went ahead with the ReZound and I am glad I got it, cause it's a nice phone, I went ahead into the store, (found out I have a friend who works with Verizon) and she hooked a brother up (okay she hooked me up because she's awesome and hot and all of that). So anyways I now have the ReZound!

Hmmm, after looking it over, the ReZound is a very nice looking phone with some pretty good specs. It also comes with earbuds. I wish I had gotten a different phone now, I basically don't need the physical keyboard as much as I thought. It was the wife's idea since she likes physical KB.

Do any other phones come with earbuds?

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but are there any new phones around the corner coming to Verizon? My upgrade eligibility is at the end of the month and I'm planning on picking up a new phone. Had my eyes on the Nexus but am willing to wait if something new is right around the corner.

The ear buds for the Rezound are amazing. These are typically $100 ear buds. Beats Audio is definitely something I should of looked into a long time ago. They are very very loud....let's just say this. I turn my main volume all the way up, and I adjust the app audio (computer or cellphone) and the app audio is pretty much as low as you can go and it still about blows my ears away.
Good stuff. I haven't gotten ICS yet, but I am still looking around to see when it will make its appearance. Should be soon according to some folks.

jwp1223, you did get the Rezound? Congrats if you did...Now I'm jealous. I wished I had gotten one or something similar, but I was completely new to smartphones back in Dec.

The Strat is not too bad I just should have researched better.

I wished the same thing before I got my first smartphone... It's not too bad though. You'll be well-informed when its time to upgrade and I'm sure what ever you upgrade to will be a very big step up from your Stratosphere, making you love the phone even more :)

I indeed did get the ReZound, it's an amazing smart phone really. This is actually my first HTC device. I have had two LG devices and let's say I probably will never go back to them. I have used a few Samsung devices (friends and what not and i like them), I still haven't gotten my bear paws on the galaxy nexus even though it was at the Verizon store, I just kind of browsed around it.

But this rezound has some rocking sound on it. I am very impressed with it. I hope for now on, that they start putting in Beats Audio algorithm in the rest of the phones, because this thing is bad ass.

I was actually look at the Start (my boss has one as well), and I like the physical keyboard, but I couldn't say no to the deal I got at the Verizon store. They matched the at the time Verizon website price of 49.99, plus I knew a girl who works there.
