Which should I go for?

So, I started with an HTC Wildfire, then a Desire. For some inexplicable reason 3 months ago I downgraded to an iPhone 3GS.

I'm now getting rid of the iPhone, and returning to Android. However, I don't know which to choose. I'm between the Sony Xperia Arc/Arc S, the HTC Desire S, or the HTC Sensation. (I'm aware that the Desire S is a mid range phone). Having read reviews i'm still completely undecided, so I thought it might help if I asked here. So, peoples opinions, experiences, likes/dislikes, alternatives to these that I haven't considered that maybe I should?

I have a desire s along with a galaxy s2. Though the latter is much the better phone I still use the ds quite often. As you say, now it is pretty much a mid range device but it performs well and looks good if you go that direction.
I would say it is best to get as much phone for your money as you can, especially if you are not looking to replace it within next 18 months, so I'd go for something better than the ds to the fuller extent of your budget.
