Which Smartphone do I need to pick?

Hello fellow readers,

Some might know me from a post that I placed sometime ago in which I was wondering if I should pick the Galaxy Nexus or S2.

After 2 weeks of thinking I picked the S3 in mind. Seeing that my paycheck is only 1 week away I'm starting to question that decision.

So this will be my first ever Android/Smartphone and after seeing a friend who has the S3 I sadly can't pick the phone I want.

So the Galaxy Nexus is a nice price and I like the design but the S3 while more expensive has a more refined experience in the sense of: Quad core, Better Notification bar, Camera etc.

(It's dutch, but I'm dutch and I will order the phone from that website)

So this is the subscription I would take if it was the S3:
Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 Blue Gratis met Abonnement Aanbiedingen - Los toestel €459 - Belsimpel.nl

And here is the Galaxy Nexus:
Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250 Black Hi Gratis met Abonnement - Belsimpel.nl
(GRATIS means Free)

My main plans are to use the camera, internet, games, Whats App, Facebook you call it.

I also hope that the Gnexus has a option to toggle the flash light. My mate who has the S3 is able to toggle it on via the camera to use it as a light (when it's dark ofc)

You talking about the Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 4?

The S3 would be a lot further ahead of the Galaxy Nexus since the Galaxy Nexus has been out for a long time now, so SIII would be future proof for games.

Apart from that or storage as you can't expand the storage on Nexus phones they'll be the same for general use as in using Facebook etc.

Personally I'd go with the SIII, even if you were talking about the Nexus 4 16gb of storage really isn't enough.

Whatever you choose it'll be a great phone.

I think you should consider the Nexus 4 instead of the Galaxy Nexus (the phone I own). It is faster and has a better camera than the Galaxy Nexus. As far as notifications go, the 4.2 jelly bean (comes with the Nexus 4) has a new more interactive notification system. See: Android - What's New

See above regarding camera. Regarding games you may want to take a look at the HTC One as it has an nVidia Teagra 3 processor.

There are many free apps in the Play store that can make almost any Android phone do this. Most will allow you a widget on your homescreen to activate the light.

Sadly I would love to get the Nexus 4 but LG stated that at this time the Nexus 4 won't arrive in the Netherlands or Belgium because of the demand.

So I have no idea when it will arrive :/

You really can't go wrong with the Galaxy S3, it's a very good all rounder.

Galaxy Nexus is cheaper but lacks sdcard support, cameras not as good and performance overall is just not as good, that's of course is performance and storage is importent to you.

If not then by all means consider the Galaxy Nexus.

If you want something a bit smaller, try the Motorola Razr i.

If some advice the Nexus 4, then I would like to know the price and price for the subscription.

Anyone know how much it might cost in germany or france? (euros) with a subscription to Tele2 (Tele2 only pls)
