Which type of ads is this???

I'm trying to block these ads sent by my mobile carrier, its annoying, I cant stop them!!!.

This is the ads

It's most likely coming from an app pre-installed by your carrier. Try Ad Detector and see if it find the offending app and if you can uninstall the app or disable the ads. If not, I'd seriously complain to your carrier ... to the point of asking for a refund.
 
I will try Ad Detector, however I think it does not work cause I bought my mobile in UK, so I just changed my sim card, I did not do anything else. I told them to stop to send me offers but they dont stop, **** them.

In english says, Do you want to call 100 minutes for 6.800 pesos?, this air time lasts until the end of your current bill period.

If I press OK, they will charge me :(
 
Which is the carrier of your SIM?

Seems caused of an app of your carrier.
So you might look which of your apps have as dev name the name of your carrier.
If you can't uninstall that app maybe you can disable it at least.

Its Movistar, I bought my mobile overseas, so I dont have installed any app of my carrier
 
it is showing a SIM CARD icon, meaning it could be part of the SIM itself. or SD Card. it does not appear to be Airpush's method of push notification.
 
I don't speak Spanish, but I have been able to determine that it seems to be coming from your SIM/network. Read this guy's blog. He's also pretty upset about it. Qu
 
U have reason, it shows a sim card icon on the top, If I press OK, they will suscribe charge me.

I red that post, but the guy says... there is nothing to do, just call the carrier again :(.
 
I just wouldnt accept that crap. Thats the beauty of pre-pay sims. If one carrier messes you around you can just try another :thumbup:
 
The problem is that my sim is not prepaid, it is postpaid. Additionally, changing my carrier is not a posible solution for me.

Anyone know what king of ads is this???, its Android
 
There are only a few options left:

Live with it.
Pro: 100 minutes extra worth $6800 (By the way, isn't that expensive? 1 minute for around $70? Or am I getting this wrong?)
Cons: Annoying ads.

Switch the phone off.
Pro: No more annoying ads.
Con: No more calls either which could be pretty bad if your girlfriend/wife calls. (Okay, thats a matter of opinion...) No 100 minutes extra worth $6800.

Switch to another carrier.
Pro: Perhaps no more ads.
Con: Perhaps the same amount or more ads. No 100 minutes extra worth $6800.

Call your carrier and tell them to cut that crap.
Pro: Possibility to get rid of that ads.
Con: Perhaps forced to call there multiple times to get a person competent enough to get this stuff done. Possible hearing damage due to extensive exposure to on-hold music. No 100 minutes extra worth $6800.
 
Turn on Airplane mode and enable WiFi, use Grooveip or Talkatone to make and receive calls and Google voice for texts/voicemail

Root it and start hacking the files, find a logcat viewer and allow it to run, and when the ad shows up, it might give the name of the system app or whatever service is being used by the SIM app to display the message. Freeze said app/service via Titanium Backup or ROM Toolbox.
