hi mate
i use miro converter, it's free, easy to use, quick and good quality conversion. It also has built-in settings for desire, all u have to do for the first time is pick the source, then your device and conversion starts. And then you only pick the source as miro remembers your device. Never tried hanbreake though so can't compare, but miro works just great.

Just tried "miro converter" , i used a 705mb movie and it ended up at 995mb after conversion, so not very good

handbreak... search forum/web for settings.
I tried many but they all had problems, handbreak was by far the best result for me.

Hi,

Just converted a video using 'Handbrake' to .mp4 but my HTC Desire can't seem to show the video. It only plays the sound and no video.

Can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong?

Just tried "miro converter" , i used a 705mb movie and it ended up at 995mb after conversion, so not very good

as i said, never tried handbrake. For me the size was never an issue, moreover, I liked pre-set settings. That's why I liked it.

I have a mp4 file from handbrake that is not played by either the native player or Rock Player, tried renaming to .mp4 / .m4v and .avi - no avail. Any thoughts?
