Help Whitelist/Exceptions HELP

I have an s3 with Ice Cream Sandwich. I have tried about 5 apps that are supposed to silence all sounds except for certain contacts you put in which should ring through. I cannot get any of them to work. I would like my phone to be silent all day except for a few contacts who's ringtones I need to hear for emergencies. I have tried silent time, easy profiles, profile scheduler, VIP. None of them work. Please help!!

The app that I wrote "Ring Thru" (at my Google Play page: https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Aquila+Data+Systems) addresses your specific issue. The free version allows you to enter one contact, but is fully functional. The paid version allows unlimited contacts.
