Who do you follow on Twitter?

First of all, I don't tweet, but I like twitter because it keeps me in the know....

Who are your top 5 people/groups/etc. that you follow on twitter?

I follow mostly athletes as a big sports fan and sports insiders to get breaking news. I only have a few friends who actually have a Twitter that I follow.

Also nobody :) I signed up 6 months ago to see what the deal and fuss was. After a month I closed it down, I still don't get why it's popular.

i tweet. i tweet alot!

i am a student pastor for a ministry that runs an average of 600 students on wednesday nights across to campuses for a multi-site church.

for me, twitter serves two purposes. all of our staff openly tweet and use it as a means to stay connected and transparent with our church body as a whole and we also use it as a huge means of communication to get things out quickly. just like some posted earlier, its amazing how many people use it to just retrieve information and never actually tweet anything themselves.

plus i follow the same things we all follow: news, sports, athletes, etc.

national rail - they tweet when trains are delayed, useful as i use trains every day
numerous android - to keep up to date, they post breaking news and new articles
o'reilly - posts lots of interesting reads
various apps - they post updates etc
sport (newpapers typically) - to keep up to date about latest sport news

random 5 off hte top of my head

I tweet and I follow anyone that I find interesting.

Mostly I follow for stuff about Android, Hockey and Poker. I follow a few musicians, some actors and a few actresses of the adult variety too.

I enjoy tweeting though. It is like therapy with a million of your closest friends. :D

Is there a good Twitter app, or is it best through the internet browser? FYI, I don't use a Facebook app, I feel the browser is fine for that. I've been thinking of joining Twitter to follow a few people and groups.
