Who is honor?

I don't know but I like the anticipation! It is mentioned on the news site too

I think I remember hearing that Honor is geared more for direct to consumer sales where Huawei branded phones are geared towards carriers, but I could be wrong. It could just be that Honor is easier to say that Huawei (Wah-Way).:p

You mean, something similar to the Nexus?

The Nexus was meant to be a developer phone, so not quite. The original was only on Sprint to T-Mobile IIRC where the GNex started as a Verizon exlusive.

Edit: In other markets the Honor brand is only sold online and carrier unlocked. Huawei branded phones will be found in more channels.

So, Honor is Huawei's flagship line of products coming to the U.S.?
Yep :)
Huawei has been selling the Honor line for several years but is now going to start selling it in the US.

You mean, something similar to Nexus, since that line of devices aren't carrier-locked?
If they are as compatible as current Nexus phones (usable on all CDMA and GSM carriers) that would be cool. :thumbsupdroid:

I have Verizon so this is what I'm most interested in! And a good radio, like Motorola, nice and strong. If that's the case I might just have to seriously consider it as an option.

They are big in Europe too. They dabbled in the US, but are making a significant push as of late.

I think the idea is that anyone anywhere in the world can pronounce honor without being confused by extra letters...

True, but they'd be doing themselves a huge favour if they endeavoured to embrace the local colour - people would be clamouring to buy their phones after seeing such behaviour.
