I could swear Obama was our president. I guess Clinton was a Special guest president. It just shows how much He is in over his head. He showed how much he can care less about the country. When his wife is more important than the country.

I believe in giving everyone one a fair shake but what he did was just a slap in our face. What will he run from next when it gets hard?

All I can find is that he encouraged Democrats to pass the Obama tax bill. Obviously I'm missing something.

which is to extend the bush tax cuts, that tax plan?

Honestly, I've been busy with Christmas stuff and don't know all the details. I know Obama proposed some bill and the Democrats hated it pretty universally and swore to vote it down so Obama called Clinton in to try to persuade them.

Well, Obama could have invited Dubya, but there was no call for an incoherent ex-president to show off by sitting on a couch, eating pretzels and drinking beer, choking, and then falling off the couch.

i'm happy with him inviting Clinton. ole Uncle Willie was a pretty decent President. shoot, i would be elated if he would just recind his presidency and hand it over to Bill.

I don't see what's terrible about this.
just going off description(haven't watched it yet), the impression is probably that he isnt able to pitch his own agenda. this is suppose to be important to him yet he brings in a substitute speaker because he's too busy with a party to deal with it(or is incapable of selling it himself). whether that's the case or not, like i said i havent watched it yet. when you want to take a certain job however, you need to be prepared to skip out on certain social gatherings to do that job.

you can rest assured that if a republican did this morons like the one above would be all over it. they can't even help using this as an opportunity to fling personal insults at bush, who has absolutely nothing to do with this. i can't wait to get the hell out of this country sometimes.

Sorry I didn't post a link.thought everyone knew and plus my son is well was very sick but doing better. Sinus infection in a kid is real scary. Thanks to who posted the you tube link.

While I didn't have the patience to sit here and watch for 30 mins to see what was being proposed, I agree that the president shouldn't have left. With that said, we don't know the real reason he left. Was it really to go to a party or was there another reason and he just said that to be funny? I dunno. The idea, however, that he bring in another voice/opinion (Clinton) really doesn't bother me.

LOL, Im a staunch conservative but that is just plain funny!

I think there is a lot of merit in your concerns about the Clintons.

As a matter of fact, I remember back when Obama was considering running mates, the Hillary idea got tossed in the "she'll end up running things through her husband" trash heap.

I think she would have been a brilliant choice, elevating the VP office itself, in my opinion.

But instead, he made the choice he made, a common one for VP of "no threat" etc.

The Clintons are power brokers in this country, and even in a few foreign nations. Obama seems to flounder often, and could benefit from the Clintons involvement. Only trouble is, the more of that involvement occurs, the more ironic it seems to us out here remembering his running mate choice.

I don't mind him calling in help to get things passed.

What I mind is the appearance here. Help is when you assist someone.

Clinton doesn't appear to be assisting, he appears to be saving Obama from drowning, which I mind.

Our President should not appear weak, and more importantly should not BE weak.

He's been at the bottom of the ocean for a while
