Root Who's working on the root?

I was just wondering who was working on the root for the esteem and if there was anything I can do to assist? The optimus 2.2.1 was rooted using the LGQRST software. Is that possible for the esteem?

I wasn't really working on it, I was using methods known to work on the vast majority of other phones.

At this point I've stopped fiddling with it though - I don't want to hose up the phone as I by no means am a developer.
 
Just a note, I decided to try one additional method that I just found... DOH! Didn't work!!!!!
 
My phone should be in tonight ill try then. Maybe we should make a post on what was already tried so no one wastes their time
 
Anyone try manually through adb? The initial software on the revolution left that option open. It was closed though by the time the update came through.

If I knew how I'd be all over it! I know how to work within ADB but not enough to try and achieve initial root.
