Why are home screen and lists choppy?

The hero is completely smooth, and this phone is supposed to be significantly faster. Everything I do is super snappy, except for choppy scrolling\swiping.

Has anyone found out anything about this?

Haven't seen that. Maybe you installed an app with no 2.0 support?

There's apps that will drain the battery, hog the cpu, etc, and they were made before the droid/android 2.0

Even if I kill absolutely everything with task killer it does it.
