Help Why are pictures auto-rotated in mms?

Why do portrait pictures auto rotate to landscape style when texting them? They appear the right way in the gallery, but then turn sideways when attached to a msg. Any way to fix? Thanks.

I have the same prob, but found if I crop the photo, even a little bit, it posts the right way. It's a pain.
