Root Why are we not getting any XDA love?

Well, getting root was simple enough; this should be more incentive for developers to love this phone! I know most of you who know Java probably already have a TB or are waiting for the Bionic/GS2, but come on, the Revo is the best LTE phone currently out and the best one on the horizon for quite a while. It's not plagued by low RAM and a bad filesystem that needs Voodoo like the Charge, or low battery life like the TB, and gets the highest Quadrant scores of the three.

Also, LG's interface is the least intrusive out of Sense, TouchWiz, and Optimus. So theoretically, AOSP ROMs like CyanogenMod should be easier to port.

What REALLY bothers me is that there's no board for the Revo at XDA. It's one of Verizon's current flagship phones and it's not getting any attention? What's going on? It's been out for a while and rumored since CES (as long as the Bionic, which has a board and probably won't ever even exist)!

+1..... I think that its because it was the last phone to be released and most of the devs are busy modding for other phones. Had it been released first, they would be all over it and probably have a working recovery system and roms. Hopefully it starts to get some love soon.

+1 and I don't even have the phone.

Well yeah, it's definitely because LG didn't get it out before the TB. But no dev should, in their right mind, pick up any of the other two phones if they were to go into a VZW store today. This phone is the easiest to mod, needs the most attention, and is just higher-performing than both the TB and the Charge.

Most importantly, we need our own XDA Forum.

I spoke with XDA last week and they said we would get love if there were any developers that showed some interest. Once we get a developer to play with us then XDA will give us a playground.

I think it is BS... xda only love htc and motorola...

The bionic has a forum and the phone has not been released and who knows when and if it will.

Yeah, they have a real bias. As I said, the Bionic already has a forum and that's just ridiulous. It's also not a Droid phone so we can't rely on droidforums.

How did you "speak to XDA"? I want to try the same thing and see if we can get them to cave if enough people bring up the need for the forum. How will we get a dev without a way to contact him like in a FORUM, after all?

It's like All of the devs are on the thunderbolt lol. A couple should give the revolution a shot since the thunderbolt has so many devs

There has gotta be a way to install a 3rd party recovery system to get us started. LG also has to release the source code

I have been speakking with svetius directly via private message.

ALSO your new REV XDA Forums are here!!!
LG Revolution - xda-developers

We'll make the forum today.

we have root... I ask because the bionic has a forum and 0 development. You can't really do a whole lot with windows phones but they also have forums. The rev is rooted and not boot locked we just need a recovery mod. I think a forum here would go a long way towards attracting developers.

I will not bug you about this anymore. Just figured asking and a followup is the least I could do.

Thanks and have a great week!
